Your Story Here

This is the first show I ever produced. It grew from a New Year’s resolution to do an interview every day for a year as a way to get better at interviewing. Your Story Here was my way of bringing some of these voices into conversation with one another while teaching myself the basics of audio editing. This show is the most personal of my podcasting work, and documents a period in my life when I was negotiating a lot of change. It was featured in DCist, 730DC, Podster Magazine, and The Washingtonian.

For a bit more context, I spoke about this era in my life while hosting TEDx Foggy Bottom.

Fun facts:

I recorded nearly all of these interviews using the built-in microphone on my iPhone 5 and edited using free software. My younger brother, Tom, created the theme music on his keyboard (he also makes a cameo in S1 Ep5), and I later re-recorded it on my cello.
